New Doctor Starting on Tuesday 2/12/2025

Dear Patients

We are very pleased to announce that we have Dr Hamish Scott starting at Thomas Street Family Medical clinic on the 2/12/2025. He will be available on Tuesdays all day for our current patients and is happy to take on new patients.

Dr Hamish Scott graduated from Flinders University in 2006. Hamish has worked at Royal Darwin Hospital and served with the Royal Australian Air Force for several years. Hamish has worked in general practice in Darwin including work in Aboriginal Health before moving to Melbourne in 2016.

He gained Fellowship of the College of General Practitioners in 2011 and completed the Diploma of Child Health in 2015. Hamish is a CASA qualified aviation medical examiner and offers all classes of pilot medicals.

Interests include: Family Medicine, Men’s Health, Paediatrics, Aged Care, Minor Surgical Procedures, Aviation medicals

Meet Our New Practice Nurse

We have a new nurse that started at Thomas Street this week her name is Caroline.

What this means for you:
– You will have a nurse available at the surgery 5 days a week, to help with your wounds, vaccines, BP checks etc
– You can call for Results Monday – Friday between 1-2pm
– You can make an after work appointment with the nurse for vaccines on Thursday till 6pm

If you have already met her that’s great if you haven’t you will : )

2025 Flu Vaccine

Government Funded Influenza Vaccines have arrived
Eligible Patients include:

Over 65yrs
6mth-under 5yrs
5-64yrs with a chronic condition

Please be aware appointments are limited with the nurse for the next few weeks because of Easter Public Holidays and Anzac Day.

There will be a flu clinic run by our Practice Nurse on the 23/4/2025 10-2pm.
